Who are we?

We’re a church of imperfect people who genuinely love the Lord and care about each other. But the best way to

learn about our church is to experience it on your own! Our Church is a place where people can be

themselves and experience the presence of God, We believe that New Generation Church is truly “the place where you can experience your NEW BEGINNING!”

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there he shall come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. The Bible, as originally given, is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It is absolute truth and the supreme authority in all matters of belief and behavior.

MEET OUR PASTOR

Senior Pastor Christopher L. Smith, Sr.

Elder Christopher L. Smith is the Pastor of New Generation Church located in Hempstead, NY. Ordained in 2007, he inherited the ministry after his father; the late J.B Smith passed away and has been leading the great people of New Generation for the last 17 years. He is a loving husband to his wife Lady Gina Smith, and their three children.

Affectionately known as Pastor Chris to his members, and to those in the community; he possesses a true heart and passion to see God’s people delivered and empowered. With a proven anointing to deliver God’s people, along with an incredible heart for ministering to today’s youth, it is no surprise that many have been drawn to his ministry.

Pastor Smith has impressive vision for the state of his community and its residents. The Bible says, “For he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?” Pastor Smith commissioned his congregation to adopt the passion and vigor he has for community. As a result, several ministries were developed that honed in on the importance of outreach in the greater Hempstead community. The “Hempstead at Heart” foundation was birthed out of the need for additional services to assist people. Partnerships with Island Harvest, the local Salvation Army, Bethany House, and other neighboring institutions have afforded the ministry the ability to provide food pantry services, counseling services, work readiness, and job preparation workshops.
